Vertas reaches No.19 in the Suffolk Top 100

Now in its twentieth year, Suffolk Limited gives a unique insight into the performance of the Suffolk business community.

The Suffolk Limited survey analyses the financial performance of the county’s leading privately owned companies. This provides a yardstick against which the county can assess its economic performance and businesses can benchmark themselves against their peers.

Ian Surtees MBA FIoD, Chief Executive Officer of Vertas Group Limited says: “It is great to know that we have moved up three places to number 19 in the Suffolk Limited Report 2021 despite the impact of Covid-19. As a business, we have continued to support our clients and colleagues. As our clients closed their offices, sites, and schools, we’ve supported colleagues through the furlough scheme, topping up their wages to 100%. We have seen a great bounce-back and are on the right path to achieve our business targets.”

Grant Thornton’s Top 100 list is compiled using the most recent publicly available accounts as of September 2021 and is based on those businesses which are both owned and managed within the county. Excluded from the survey are a small number of the county’s largest businesses where ownership is overseas, management and strategic decision makers are based outside the county or are listed entities.
