At Vertas we strive to support local communities and respect our environment.
Our Group CEO Ian Surtees MBA and his Coasters team cycled 37 miles Coast-to-Coast in 2018 and 2019.
In 2018 Group Operations Director Keith Buet took on the Yorkshire Three Peaks.
Vertas has supported a huge range of community organisations, from Combat2Coffee to Raising the Bar and Suffolk Dog Day.
We are a sponsor of the Greenest County Awards and removed all plastic cutlery from our estate on 1 April 2020.
We will be a stage partner when the rescheduled Womens Tour cycle race takes place in 2021.
During 2016/17, we raised £4000 to the local charity for East Anglian Air Ambulance. From 2017 our nominated Charity of the Year has been Cancer Research UK. At of 2020 we’ve raised £32,000 from cake sales to golf days, directors’ bike rides to skydives. We have presented the charity with a huge cheque at each of the last three Making the Difference Award ceremonies.
“The enthusiasm and creativity shown by the Vertas team in organising and delivering fun and hugely successful fundraising activities is extremely impressive and shows no sign of slowing down. Cancer Research UK receives no Government funding so our life-saving work is entirely dependent on individual and corporate supporters.”
Gill Burgess, Cancer Research UK
