Vertas Making The Difference Towards Lockdown Lifting

We’re proud of every contract we operate – especially when it’s supporting the country to get tested, vaccinated and out of a global pandemic.

We’re working in partnership with Suffolk County Council, Public Health England and the NHS to provide the following services to over 30 locations across the country:
• Delivering equipment and test kits
• Mobilisation and client management
• Cleaning of sites
• Waste collections of clinical waste twice a week
• Security cover
• Providing additional supplies.

This is being managed by the Vertas Facilities Management team, but as is often the case at Vertas, we’ve created a cross services team to ensure we put our customer first. In this case, the Vertas Grounds team and Oakpark Security are supporting the project. Oakpark Security has provided over 4000 hours of manned guarding per week and have also introduced around 40 new colleagues into the Vertas family, with more still to come as the vaccination and test centres grow throughout the UK.

In the spirit of celebrating our team members who work so hard to keep making the difference we’d like to thank cleaning contract manager Lorna Mayston and Oakpark’s Operations Manager, Rob Clark, who have been fantastic with arranging cover for the sites enabling us to service ad hoc requests as well as the day-to-day business, often during “silent hours”.
