Vertas Group Limited has been awarded a three-year contract to provide education catering for the Inspiration Trust, with the opportunity to extend for a further two years.
Under the three-year agreement, Vertas Group will serve thirteen academies based in Norfolk and north Suffolk, four of which Vertas Group delivered successfully before the new contract was awarded.
National Facilities Management (FM) company, Vertas Group has worked in partnership with the Inspiration Trust for 7 years, providing a host of FM services, including catering and grounds maintenance.
As part of the new contract, Vertas Group will create a range of menus that offer the right nutritional balance to boost children’s development, behaviour, and ability to learn.
It will also feature plant-based foods from local suppliers to reduce their carbon footprint. Vertas Group hopes that its commitment to protecting the environment will inspire pupils to enjoy even healthier meals that are just as tasty.
In addition, Vertas Group will appoint a dedicated Development Chef to hand-craft menus and enhance nutritional education at the academies.
Mark Fitzpatrick, Director of Operation at the Inspiration Trust said: “’I am delighted that Vertas is working with Inspiration Trust across our schools in order to bring quality to a range of menus, offering choice, nutritional balance and service. Vertas have worked with us for a number of years and understand that Inspiration Trust sets a high standard for its pupils, staff and service providers. I am looking forward to continuing our relationship.”
Karen Burrowes, Associate Director of Operations at Vertas Group, added, “Since 2014, we have built a strong foundation with the Inspiration Trust and have formed an excellent working relationship. We are very pleased the Inspiration Trust has chosen Vertas Group to transform its education catering, and we look forward to making the difference as our partnership continues to grow.”
