Over 130 guests gathered for an evening of entertainment and celebration at the first ever Vertas: Making the Difference Staff Awards ceremony.
The black tie event was born out of the aim to truly recognise Vertas’ employees who demonstrate their unrivalled levels of commitment, innovation and service excellence whilst carrying out their role.
The awards which were fully-funded by Vertas’ supply partners with Bidvest Foodservice as the headline sponsor set out to recognise the commitment of star employees within the 2,500 strong workforce; based across East Anglia.
After careful deliberation, Vertas’ Senior Leadership Team shortlisted the nominations to arrive at three outstanding nominees, including a winner in each of the nine categories.
Ian Surtees, Group Managing Director for Vertas, said:
“I am thrilled with the success of our first ever staff awards ceremony and huge congratulations goes to our nine winners and everyone nominated.
“This event provided the opportunity for us to recognise and celebrate our colleagues who consistently demonstrate excellent practice and quality customer service within their role.
“Vertas prides itself on its committed individuals who strive to go above and beyond to ensure that their clients and customers have truly positive experiences.
“Whether our winners manage a busy school kitchen, produce cutting-edge graphic designs and printed material or manage the cleanliness of the most prestigious buildings across our business area; this night provided an opportunity for these hard-working teams and individuals to receive the recognition they deserve.”
