Sixty Second Briefing from Ian Surtees, Chief Executive Officer Vertas Group Limited

Submitted by Amelia O'Hanlon | 19/03/2020

Firstly I want to assure you that responding to this outbreak of Coronavirus COVID-19 is my absolute priority at this time.

I am briefing my leadership team round the clock and taking decisive action to safeguard the wellbeing of all colleagues and continuity of service for our clients.

As and when new information comes in, we will advise colleagues and our clients as a matter of priority.

You will, I’m sure, have seen the recent government press conferences. We will be basing all our decisions on the official guidance from government when the time is right.

Keeping our people healthy includes everyone’s mental health as well as physical. We have recently sent out some ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ with information on how colleagues can access our Employee Assistance Programme and Mental Health First Aiders.

I want to thank you all for your ongoing dedication and commitment to Vertas and send my best wishes to you and your family.

Rest assured that myself and the senior leadership teams are trying to do what is best for our employees, clients and the wider business and I would ask us all to remain calm, supportive and agile at this challenging time.

Regards,

Ian Surtees MBA, FIoD

Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
