Hard Work from Vertas Payroll Team Pays Off

We are thrilled to announce our payroll team has won ‘in-house payroll team of the year’ in The Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) Annual Excellence Awards 2020.

The CIPP’s Annual Excellence Awards are designed to recognise the professionals responsible for the accurate, compliant, and timely delivery of these services within their organisations. The ceremony took place online on 15th October 2020.

The judges stated that the Vertas payroll team had a “great display of team work in an environment demanding project and business as usual parallel within a lean team.”

Kate Innes, Associate Director for People at Vertas Group Limited, commented, “winning payroll in-house team of year CIPP award is the highest accolade to achieve in the payroll profession and I am incredibly proud that our small payroll team of four practitioners have been recognised for everything they have delivered and continue to do for our business and 4000 colleagues.”

Peter Lockwood, Payroll Manager, stated “I am really proud of my team who totally deserve this accolade for their consistent hard work and dedication to Vertas.”

Jess Burton, Payroll Advisor, said “it’s wonderful for the team and I to be recognised for all our hard work and determination we put in to ensure everyone is paid correctly every month.”

A huge well done to the team for this amazing achievement and congratulations to Schools’ Choice payroll, pensions and HR administration colleagues for being shortlisted for ‘payroll service provider of the year’, narrowly missing out on the top spot. Congratulations to Zellis, HR and payroll services provider, for wining ‘software product of the year 2020’ – we are proud to use an award-winning payroll system.
