Golfers’ Generosity Totals £2,185 for Cancer Charity

The Vertas Charity Golf Day has raised £2,185 for our charity of the year, Cancer Research UK.

On 7^th June sixty-five golfers, representing 17 local and national businesses, bought ‘Mulligans’ which gave them a second go at a shot, raffle tickets and bid in a live auction.

Now in its second year, the day was hosted by its Chief Executive Officer Ian Surtees MBA, and held at Stoke by Nayland Golf Club.

The club’s Gainsborough course, which features undulating terrain and four substantial lakes, was played with a shotgun start where all teams begin simultaneously from different holes. Over a well-earned dinner, the golfers watched a video of each player teeing off from the 18^th hole.

The companies represented on the day were: Vertas Group Limited, Investigo, Ipswich Town Football Club, Imtech, Opus People Solutions, Concertus, Admiral Group, Vertas Environmental, Bidfood, Larking Gowen, Grant Thornton, Pound Gates, Oakpark, Engie, Loft and Co, Marshall Leasing, WH Marriage & Sons.
