The kettle’s now on at the Co-op in Plympton, Plymouth as it became the first store in the country to welcome Co-op’s new concept coffee shop, & Coffee, on Friday 30 August.
The guests of honour who officially opened the coffee shop were Councillor Patrick Nicholson, Chairman of Plympton Community Council Rose Hamley, and Youth Ambassador Charlotte Bryant. The launch was a success, and saw many visitors indulging in the tailored breakfast and lunch menus, and Lavazza’s award winning coffee.
The cafe, operated by Churchill Catering, uses responsibly-sourced ingredients from local suppliers, and all coffee is Rainforest Alliance certified. The shop additionally acts as a community hub, where clubs, societies, and groups can use the space after hours as a meeting place.
A huge welcome and thank you to the shop staff who all ensured that the event was a success.
