We are extremely proud to announce that Vertas Group has won the Customer Care Award at the East Anglian Daily Times Suffolk Business Awards 2020. It is also an amazing achievement for the group to reach the final three of the Business of the Year and be a finalist for Employer of the Year.

The awards, which are sponsored by Suffolk Chamber of Commerce and Sizewell C, are designed to celebrate achievements and recognise the hard work of Suffolk’s most innovative, imaginative and inspiring firms.

The Customer Care award, sponsored by Greater Anglia, was awarded to Vertas Group for exemplifying outstanding customer service, consistently delivered at the highest level, by a customerfocused team. Ian Surtees, MBA, Chief Executive Officer of Vertas Group Limited, state

“We are so proud to have won the Customer Care award.  We want every interaction with our customers to be positive. We want our teams to be seen as an extension of our customers’ teams, supporting and helping always. We are proud that this award recognises the significant efforts of our teams to put our customers first every time. For our business we will continue to build on our success, making a difference to all our customers.”

Competing with a range of businesses, Vertas Group has reached the final three for the Business of the Year Award. In September, Vertas Group celebrated its fifth birthday, and being named a finalist is testament to the achievements colleagues have and continue to make across the business.

Ian Surtees, MBA, Chief Executive Officer of Vertas Group Limited, was thrilled to be a finalist for this award:

“Being a finalist for the Business of the Year Award is an incredible achievement for the Vertas Group. The global Coronavirus pandemic has proved to be an incredible challenge – particularly for a business with so many education clients.

As an employer, we have balanced the health and safety of our colleagues with business continuity of our customers’ operations. This finalist achievement is for every colleague who has gone above and beyond to prioritise their customers.

We are really proud that the decisions we have made as a business have been with the best interests of our colleagues and clients and have created a stronger Vertas Family.”

Reaching the final three for Employer of the Year is also a huge accolade for Vertas Group and we are extremely proud to be recognised by the judges for being a business which has achieved great things in the last 12 months and one that Suffolk can be proud to have as an ambassador of working life in the county.

Ian Surtees, MBA, Chief Executive Officer of Vertas Group Limited, says: “2,000 members of the Vertas family work in our heartland, Suffolk, and we are so proud of how each one has risen to the challenges we’ve faced because of Covid-19.

“Right from the start we made decisions that put them at the heart and our teams have repaid this support ten times over.

‘Above and beyond’ may be a cliché but there’s no other way to describe what our teams have done for our clients in exceptional circumstances.

Reaching the final for Employer of the Year recognises their dedication and agility, both at Vertas and in their communities.

“Well done to all of the finalists and winners of the awards. A huge congratulations to all at Vertas Group for your continuous hard work, without you winning this award would never have been possible.
