Summer 2015, Vertas acquired Ipswich-based company IEM Caterquip Ltd; a
business specialising in the supply, install and ongoing maintenance of
catering equipment across a range of sites, including over 300 schools in
IEM has a
great track record within this remit and brings a wealth of knowledge
surrounding asset management. The decision to bring IEM under the Vertas Group
provided an opportunity for us to strengthen our asset management function
in-house and more efficiently manage our assets across all sites, ensuring the
very best equipment for our site-based staff and our clients.
This piece of
work will include a function to allow us to hold more detailed data surrounding
our current catering equipment in schools, as well as ways in which this
equipment can quickly be replaced by way of an in-house insurance scheme.
