Each year, the Vertas Group commits to raise money for charity. During 2016/17, we raised money for East Anglian Air Ambulance; donating over £4000 to the local charity.
This year, Vertas group will be raising money for a second year running towards Cancer Research UK. At our third annual staff awards on Friday 2nd March, group CEO Ian Surtees presented a cheque for £8500 to Cancer Research.
This money has been raised through a variety of bake sales, dress down days and other events throughout the group. Along with the £8,500 cheque, we raised an added £2000 during the night.

During the summer, Director’s Jo Lardent, Marcus Yarham and Keith Buet, along with Kelly Fellowes, Risk and Quality Manager, will be doing a sky dive to raise £2000 for charity and would appreciate any support you can give.
“Cancer Research UK relies solely on the generosity of our supporters like Vertas. The money raised to date could buy a microplate washer – a time saving device that frees up our researchers to concentrate on ground-breaking science, instead of the washing up! It could also fund our Cambridge Research Institute for one week. Thank you to everyone at Vertas and their suppliers for their amazing continued support. Together we will beat cancer sooner.”
