Making the Difference Awards 2019

We are delighted to announce our fourth annual Making the Difference Staff Awards.

Our awards ceremony will take place on Friday 1st March 2019.

Employee of the Year

Our staff are our primary asset in delivering service excellence – this award is designed to recognise the significant contribution that an individual has made to Vertas, its clients and customers.

Our finalists are:

  • Michelle Cullum – Cleaning Supervisor, Hadleigh Health Centre
  • Sarah Elliot – Site Manager, High Lodge, Thetford

We are looking for teams that have demonstrably gone the extra mile to improve the way they work, for example; to increase client satisfaction or deliver improve service standards.

A team that has…

  • Demonstrated that working as a team works better than an individual
  • Delivered significant measureable benefits to the business, including financial and HSQE
  • Consistently and measurably exceeds customer expectations
  • Sick absence below the company target
  • Demonstrated outstanding business improvement.

Colleagues Champion

This award recognises a Vertas employee who has consistently supported work colleagues and is always there to help others.

Our finalists are:

  • Ashley Copping – Senior Management Accountant, Finance
  • Emily Strickland – HSQE, Compliance and Governance Support Co-ordinator
  • Sam Painter – Senior HR Advisor, Schools’ Choice

Without innovation we will never move forward. Recognising the vital importance that innovative ideas and creativity play in Vertas, the innovations can be product or service based.

This award recognises our Inspiring leaders who develop and motivate their teams to deliver service excellence, in their chosen speciality.

This award seeks to reward and recognise our service specialists who innovate and develop their area of expertise for the benefit of Vertas, its clients and customers

Our finalists are:

  • Duncan Whent – Risk and Quality Advisor, HSQE Compliance and Governance
  • Gary Cant – Service Manager, IEM
  • Peter Lockwood – Payroll Manager

An individual who has…

  • Demonstrated a high level of knowledge and expertise in their chosen service discipline
  • Undertaken training (either inside or outside the organisation) to develop their knowledge
  • Introduced a measurable change to the way the service is delivered to improve efficiency or deliver improved client satisfaction
  • Introduced innovation and new ideas into their chosen discipline
  • Embraced and adapted to the business re-engineering from SCC to Vertas
  • Shown a continuous positive attitude to change
